The Big Apple

Well, we have taken a few days off due to the holiday, but more good material is on the way. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and hope that the same is true for all of you.

As I type, we are packing up to take the whole family, plus my Mom, my Dad and my Brother to New York City for the weekend. With the combination of a 1 and 3-year old, high temperatures in the low 40s, the fact that it is one of the busiest weekends of the year and the the high level of expectations for the Carpenter family's first trip to the city; we are sure hilarity, some miscommunication and good times are on the way.

We will try to blog from the big city, but we are not sure if this whole blogging thing has caught on up there. We will just have to see...

Please feel free to add your comments regarding things we should do and places we should see and we will be sure to keep you up to date on all the warm holiday memories we are creating with 19 million of our closest friends.

New York, here we come!

How exciting to find another Gladney Ethiopian adoption family nearby! We are in Northern Virginia!
